Snow

I was born and raised in the snow. I grew up in Val d’Isère, a ski resort located in the French Alps. I was a skier from 2 to 12 years-old until I discovered snowboarding. I never left my board since then. I particularly appreciate off-piste snowboarding, but I only practice it in my hometown as I know it by heart, and never take any unreasonable risks.

Whether you are a ski lover or you appreciate the charm of traditional villages in the mountain, I highly recommend you to go to Val d’Isère at least once in your life. Not only is it the most beautiful place in the world, but it also offers an amazing atmosphere and let you meet incredible people.

Talking about incredible people, here is a selection of local businesses that I recommend:

Therapeos Val d’Isère

Stéphanie Petri – “Emotions d’ici” – Tableaux et Estampes
Stéphanie is a local artist that paint amazing paintings of Val d’Isère. The website is in French but images don’t have any language barrier. Check it out!

Le Samovar, Hôtel et Chalets
Le Samovar is a hotel located in La Daille, at the entrance of Val d’Isère. It’s a very nice place to stay, and it has all the charms of a traditional ski resort hotel. Plus, the hotel is owned by one of my best friend’s mother.
